Project: Private Home, Sussex
Client: Private Home Owner
Garden Designer: Nightingale Garden Design
Collaboration with all parties is one of our fundamental principles, and working closely with the designer and contractor on this project showed, once again, why this is vital for a project to run smoothly.
Initially, we liaised with Gail Peel of Nightingale Garden Design to come up with some options of timber species to be used as screening. This was narrowed down to two options, Western Red Cedar and Thermowood (Redwood). To help bring the project in under budget, it was necessary to work with the most cost effective option and consequently, the Thermowood was the species of choice.
As the project progressed, our project team kept in contact with the contractor on site as well as the designer to ensure there were no problems. This proved its importance when arranging delivery and ensuring it worked with the site schedule. At installation stage, our technical team were on hand to provide necessary advice to ensure the screening was installed correctly, creating a fantastic visual appearance and providing maximum longevity.
This was a great project and the Loknan team found collaborating with Gail and the contractor was very enjoyable. When asked about the project, Gail said “It has been a great experience working with Loknan. They have been very helpful, thorough and reliable throughout the process. They were happy to accommodate my requests for different quotes and helped me to fit the budget. In the end I have used Thermowood which looks brilliant in the finished garden. I would thoroughly recommend them to anyone looking for quality products and a reliable service.”
